  • 1)Heat oil in a pan.
  • 2)Add the onions and chopped green chillies and saute for 3 - 4 mins.
  • 3)Add methi leaves and saute until the raw smell of leaves goes and nice aroma comes.
  • 4)Add ginger-garlic paste, turmeric and salt and saute for 2 mins.
  • 5)Add the frozen raw garbanzo beans,saute for 2-3 minutes and add potatoes and saute for 3 mins, until the potatoes are mixed well.
  • 6)Add the ground powder and mix well.
  • 7)Saute for a couple of minutes.
  • 8)Add 3 - 4 cups of boiling water and close the lid and cook until done.
  • :- Serve with roti/nan/roasted bread/chapathi etc.
  • :- If u want to have this rice, u will have to boil the potato and cube it. And follow the same steps until step 4. In step 5, instead of raw potato u use the boiled and cubed potatoes. and in step 7 add gr ound masala powder and just add 2 tbsp of water. Mix it well and cover the pan until the flavour of methi is absorbed by the potato. Finally sprinkle lime juice and serve hot with rice.
