  • 1)Take dhal and pressure cook it for 10 mins(3 whistles).
  • 2)Heat some oil in a pan or a kadai.
  • 3)Fry the finely chopped onions, till it turns brown.
  • 4)Add the finely chopped tomatoes to it and cook on a low flame, until the tomatoes become a paste.
  • 5)Add garlic to it.
  • 6)Add the cooked dhal into this paste and pour 2 cups of water.
  • 7)Keep this mixture on low flame until it boils.
  • 8)Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • 9)Allow the curry to set for 10 mins.
  • :- Serve with rice.

    Good and easy to prepare. I used green chilly instead of red and it came out very well.

    Curry leaves and red chillies can be put after the oil is heated before frying the onion
