Dhal(Parippu) - 200 gm
Garlic pods - 4 nos


Step 1. Take dhal and pressure cook it for 10 mins(3 whistles).
Step 2. Heat some oil in a pan or a kadai.
Step 3. Fry the finely chopped onions, till it turns brown.
Step 4. Add the finely chopped tomatoes to it and cook on a low flame, until the tomatoes become a paste.
Step 5. Add garlic to it.
Step 6. Add the cooked dhal into this paste and pour 2 cups of water.
Step 7. Keep this mixture on low flame until it boils.
Step 8. Garnish with coriander leaves.
Step 9. Allow the curry to set for 10 mins.
Step 10. :- Serve with rice.

Curry leaves and red chillies can be put after the oil is heated before frying the onion

Good and easy to prepare. I used green chilly instead of red and it came out very well.


Hi, u havent mentioned when to use the curry leaves and red chillies.
