  • 1)Soak aval for 10 mins.
  • 2)Drain excess water.
  • 3)Add all the ingredients into the bowl containing aval.
  • 4)Mix well.
  • :- Do not add water, while making the dough.
  • 5)Make small vadas with hand.
  • 6)Heat oil in a pan.
  • 7)Fry vadas, till golden brown and crisp.
  • :- Serve hot with chutney.

    Using Poha for vada is a nice idea. Try using an egg as a binder. It is easy and more tasty. Also without coconut give a good different taste

    Guys, I tried this the same way as narrated...But all the vadas got split...I had to add some rice flour to bind them all together. Moreover, it absorbs a lot of oil...
