  • 1)Grind beetroot and onion separately in a mixer grinder.
  • :- Do not grind them into a paste.
  • 2)Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
  • 3)Add cloves, cardamom and cinnamon stick.
  • 4)Add the coarsely ground beetroot and onion.
  • 5)Add salt, turmeric powder, chilly powder and ginger-garlic paste.
  • 6)Fry it on a medium flame for about 15 mins.
  • 7)Add coconut powder and fry, until the raw smell is gone.
  • 8)Add garam masala powder and stir well.
  • 9)Remove from the flame.

    Delicious recipe - using the mixer to chop it saves a lot of time also. I reduced the chilly powder and garam masala a bit and used fresh grated coconut, as I did not have coconut powder. It came out very well.

    My husband and I tried this recipe out and it was so awesome! I love beet roots but wasn`t sure how to make it and I stalled on it for a long time! But with your recipe I feel like having it everyday! Thanks for posting this!

    recipe tastes good and my daughter never liked beetroot but because of this recipe she has started to eat.parents of children who don`t like beetroot make this recipe they would love to eat beetroot.
