  • 1)Cut the vegetable into small cubes and wash them thoroughly.
  • 2)Add salt and water to it and cook them till the vegetable becomes tender.
  • 3)Drain off the excess water and keep it separately.
  • 4)Soak mustard seeds and rice for 15 mins and add red chillies to grind them into a paste by using little water.
  • 5)Soak tamarind in water and keep it aside.
  • 6)Heat oil in a pan and put all the ingredients of tempering.
  • 7)Fry them for 2-3 mins and add the cooked vegetable to it.
  • 8)Stir it for some time.
  • 9)Add the mustard paste and tamarind juice to it and mix well.
  • 10)Cover Bottle Gourd curry for about 5 mins.
  • 11)Remove the Bottle Gourd curry from fire.
  • :- Bottle Gourd curry is ready.

    hi, This is the traditional curry. Somebody doesn`t know about "ava". If anybody doesn`t like this leave it,but dont comment badly.One should give respect to tradition

    Worst curry i have ever made in my life. Please don`t try this. If at all anybody want to try, don`t use mustard paste. Use less amount of tamarind.
