Easy Chicken Fry recipe with cornflour

Broasted Chicken


Fryer chicken - 1 no
Cajun seasoning - 1 tbsp
Baking powder - 2 tsp
Fresh ground black pepper - to taste
Saturated oil - 1-2 cups
(for frying)
Corn starch - 1/2 cup
To make Cajun seasoning:
sea salt or kosher)
Chili powder - 1/4 cup
Black pepper - 1 tbsp
Dried basil - 1 tbsp
Dried oregano - 1 tbsp
Red pepper - 1 tsp
Dried thyme - 2 tsp
(Mix all these ingredients to make the cajun seasoning)


Step 1. Clean the chicken pieces thoroughly and cut them into bite-size pieces.
Step 2. Pour water in a large bowl, add salt and place the chicken in the salted water.
:- Soak it for about an hour. Do not drain the chicken.
Step 3. Pour oil in a pressure cooker and fill it up to 2 inches high.
Step 4. Turn the stove on and heat the oil uncovered, in the pressure-cooker, until it is completely heated up.
Step 5. Add baking powder, Cajun seasoning, cornstarch, pepper and salt together.
:- Whisk and add sufficient water until it becomes a thin and smooth batter.
Step 6. Take the chicken one at a time, and dip them into the prepared batter, coat the pieces evenly with it.
Step 7. Fry the coated pieces into the pressure cooker and deep-fry them in the hot oil in the pressure cooker for 2-3 minutes.
Step 8. The next step is to put the lid onto the pressure cooker. Cover it tightly and cook the content for 10-12 minutes.
Step 9. Once it¦s done, pull up on the pressure valve, letting the vapor escape completely. Now loosen and remove the lid.
Step 10. Drain the chicken pieces out of the oil carefully onto a paper towel, soaking excess grease.
Step 11. Allow the pieces to cool for some time before serving.
Step 12. :- Broasted Chicken is ready!!!
Step 13. :- Serve the Broasted Chicken with your favorite garnishing.
Step 14. :- Enjoy eating Broasted Chicken!!
