  • 1)Heat oil in a pan.
  • 2)Add chopped onions and saute till onion becomes brown.
  • 3)Add ginger paste, garlic paste, chopped green chillies and cook for a while.
  • 4)Add the chilli powder, coriander powder and turmeric powder and fry on low flame till the raw smell goes.
  • 5)Add tomato puree and keep cooking until the mixture becomes a semi gravy one.
  • 6)Add the prawns, crushed peppercorns, garam masala, curry leaves and lemon juice.
  • 7)Cover and cook till the prawns are nicely done.
  • :- Serve with chapathis, naan or any other kind of roti.

    I gave this recipe to my husband as it was his turn to cook. He followed it to the Tee. We just had no tomatoes so added a few cherry tomatoes. It turned out excellent. Was a bit spicy but thats due to the tomatoes not being enough. tasted just like eating at a Muniyandi Hotel :-) Just loved it..was very easy to cook as well.
