Ingredients

Meat(minced) - 1/2 kg
Ginger paste - 1/4 tsp
Garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
Red chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
Dried red chillies(Kollamulaku) - 3-4 nos
Black peppercorn - 4 - 5 nos
Bay leaf(Vazhana/Karuga ela) - 1 no
Yoghurt/Curd - 2 tbsp
(chopped)
(chopped)
Coriander leaves for garnishing
Green chillies for garnishing

DIRECTIONS

1. Heat oil in a pan.
2. Saute the onion till light brown.
3. Add the spices along with the garlic and ginger paste. Mix well.
4. Add the minced meat and stir till the spices have mixed well with it and its` water has dried up.
5. Add 1 glass of water to it and leave on medium heat to tenderize.
6. When half done, add the yoghurt and tomatoes.
7. Cook till all the water has dried.
8. Mix well.
9. Garnish with chopped corriander leaves and green chillies.
10. :- Serve hot with naan or chappathi.

fabulous! it turned out pretty good. i didnt have bay leaf and red chilles on me - but it was pretty good despite that. this one is a keeper!!

It`s an easy,tasty kheema,my husband loved it,like how luvgoodfood just thought tht the spices wud be less,even i was thinking the same,but after reading the comments i thought ....let me just try it & it came out great ,thanks a lot

This is really good....when I first saw the ingredients esp the masala part(cloves,cardomoms), I thought the amount would be really less for a pound(half kg) ground beef. But hey not at all....came out well...in fact right now it`s on the stove ready to devour! I am just waiting for my husband to come home and I am sure he will love it too ! Thanx a lot for this one :)

Just such a simple mouthwatering recipe.The addition of the yoghurt and tomatoes at the very end, almost, is a novel idea and keeps everything tasting fresh and juicy.
