Easy Cherupayar Payasam

Ingredients

Split green gram dhal(Cherupayar parippu) - 150gm to 200gm
Rasins(Unakka Munthiri) - 8 to 10 nos
Coconut milk - half of one
Cardamom powder(Elakka) - 3 nos

DIRECTIONS

1. For preparing easy cherupayar payasam, fry split green gram dhal in a pan for a few minutes.
2. Add water and salt and cook the split green gram dhal in a pressure cooker for 3 whistles.
3. Put jaggery in 3/4 glass of hot water and melt it.
4. Fry rasins and cashewnuts in some ghee and keep it aside.
5. Add jaggery syrup, cashewnut, rasins, coconut milk and cardamom powder to the cooked split green gram dhal and boil it again. Add water if necessary.
6. Easy cherupayar payasam is ready.
