  • 1)Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds, uzhunnu parippu and kadala parippu. Saute until golden in color.
  • 2)Add chopped onions, green chillies and curry leaves. Fry until onion becomes transparent.
  • 3)Add chopped tomatoes and cooked green peas. Saute in low heat.
  • 4)Add turmeric powder and required salt. Pour 2 cups water and leave it to boil.
  • 5)When water starts boiling, lower the heat and add roasted vermicelli. Cook until done.
  • 6)Sprinkle sprouted cherupayar and stir gently until water has evaporated completely.
  • 7)Easy Vermicelli upma, an ideal breakfast dish is ready. Serve hot.
