Gooseberry Pickle


Gooseberries - 4 cups(de-seeded and cubed)
Vinegar - 1 cup
Sesame oil - As reqd


Step 1. For preparing gooseberry pickle, boil gooseberries in salt water till it becomes tender. Strain it and keep it aside to cool.
Step 2. Heat sesame oil in a vessel and splutter mustard seeds.
Step 3. Add in the cooked gooseberries, chilly powder, turmeric powder, vinegar and required salt. Mix well.
Step 4. Allow it to cool and preserve it in an airtight container.
Step 5. Gooseberry pickle is ready.
