Ingredients

(chopped into fine pieces)
Dry red chillies(Kollamulaku) - 5 nos
Grated coconut - 1 cup
Small onions(Kunjulli) - 3 nos
For seasoning:
Gram - 2 tsp
Dry red chillies(Kollamulaku) - 4 nos

DIRECTIONS

Step 1. Grind together the red chillies and turmeric powder well.
Step 2. Cook the vegetable along with the ground mixture, salt and water.
Step 3. When the jack fruit is cooked, mash the pieces.
Step 4. Grind together coconut, small onions and curry leaves.
Step 5. Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
Step 6. Add gram and mustard seeds.
Step 7. When the mustard seeds splutter, add the red chillies and curry leaves.
Step 8. Add the jackfruit strands and the ground coconut mixture.
Step 9. Saute ithe mix well.
Step 10. Cover the pan and allow it to cook.
Step 11. :- Serve with rice.
Step 12. :- When you use canned jackfruit, drain the water in it and run the vegetable through cold water. This will remove excess sodium.
