  • 1)Soak kadala in water for atleast 8 hrs and pressure cook it.
  • 2)Heat coconut oil in a pan.
  • 3)Add cumin seeds, onion and finally coconut and fry well till it turns brown.
  • 4)Add coriander powder, turmeric powder and chilli powder to it and mix well.
  • 5)Allow it to cool and grind it.
  • 6)Add the ground paste to kadala and cook it.
  • 7)Add required salt to taste.
  • 8)In a pan, saute chopped onion and curry leaves in coconut oil and add to kadala.
