  • 1)Cut the washed mangoes into small cubes.
  • 2)Heat oil in a pan.
  • 3)Splutter the mustard seeds and fry the curry leaves.
  • 4)Add the mangoes, chilly powder, turmeric powder, salt and enough vinegar. Mix well.
  • 5)Let it start to boil.
  • 6)Switch off the flame.
  • 7)Mix in the uluva powder and asafoetida powder.
  • 8)Cool and store in airtight containers.

    It was so simple to follow the receipe and the Achar came out very well.I have a doubt.Is it good to add that much of vinegar? I was little confused so I added only 10 tsps of vinegar and added a little amount of boiled water to the mango.I always recommend this receipe for preparing Kadukumanga.Thank You, Doctor and expecting more simple and tasty receipes from you.

    this is not the way to prepare kadumanga as we learnt from our great parents.u r trying to implement the easy methods which never meet the ethics, try to change this attitude and bring the real receipie
