Hi raj, I think, 1:1 ratio is good. Please correct the recipe ingredients also accordingly. When i roll out the pathiris, the edges are not as smooth as Chapati. What can be done to avoid this? I tried , mixing the dough well with hands after mixing with spatula. But it didn`t give smooth edges. Thanks in advance, Nandini

for 1cup of rice powder boil 1 and half cup water and follow the said method and after it is stirred in the vessel ,while still hot ...remove contents to a clean surface to knead it well and soft, if you knead while still hot you will get a smooth dough...which will be easy to roll out and a mess free pathiri

To get that perfect round, you can use the lid of a stainless steel tiffin box and cut it out. Use the cutout portion to make another one !

Hi, The dough became very sticky. I think the water to flour ratio is not correct. If others who had rated this, had made any variation pls mention so. So that we can modify the recipe accordingly. Regards, Nandini
