  • 1)For preparing kerala varal curry, clean fish and cut into pieces.
  • 2)Heat oil, add fenugreek seeds, onion and fry till color changes.
  • 3)Grind the onion into paste.
  • 4)In the same pan, add oil and fry the onion paste, ginger-garlic paste, chilly powder and coriander powder.
  • 5)Fry till it gets brown color.
  • 6)Add turmeric powder and tamarind water.
  • 7)Add the curry leaves and fish pieces. Cover and cook till fish is done.
  • 8)Pour coconut oil on top and serve hot.
