  • 1)First cut the vegetables into small pieces.
  • 2)Cook the dal and add the vegetables, turmeric powder, chilly powder and sarkkara. Cook again.
  • 3)Grind the 1/2 of the coconut and cumin seeds. Make a fine thick paste.
  • 4)Add this paste into the vegetables and allow it to boil. Cook till dry.
  • 5)Fry the another half of grated coconut till dark brown.
  • 6)Stir in fried coconut to the curry. kootu kari is ready.
