  • 1)Cook the mango pieces with turmeric, salt and enough water to cook the mango.
  • 2)Mash it and keep it aside.
  • 3)Grind together coconut, cumin seeds, green chillies and mustard seeds into a fine paste by adding little water.
  • 4)Add the ground paste to the mashed mango and mix well.
  • 5)Cook it again by adding little water, if necessary.
  • 6)Add sugar and mix well.
  • :- Check the level of salt and add, if necessary.
  • 7)When it becomes a paste like consistency, switch off the flame.
  • 8)Heat oil in a small pan.
  • 9)Splutter mustard seeds and fry curry leaves for a minute.
  • 10)Add the above seasoning into the above mango-coconut paste.
  • :- Serve with rice.

    Grinding mustard seed will result in a bitter taste.You should crush the mustard seperately, instead of grinding.
