Ingredients
to make Naadan Chemmeen Masala
:
    Directions
    to make Naadan Chemmeen Masala
    :
  • 1)Heat oil in a kadai or in a pan.
  • 2)Add onions, curry leaves and green chillies and ginger-garlic paste.
  • 3)When onions turn translucent, add chopped tomato.
  • 4)When it becomes a little pulpy, add all the powders.
  • 5)Fry well till raw smell is gone and oil separates.
  • 6)Add shrimps.
  • 7)Cover and cook till the shrimp is done.
  • :- You can add 1 cup of water if you want. Usually, shrimps have some water in it and once it is added to the masala, the liquid will ooze out. So use water only if it is needed.
  • 8)Switch off the heat once the gravy is thick and the shrimp is well done.
  • 9)Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • :- Serve with rice, chappathi or appams.

i was pretty interested when i had seen this recipe and so i decided to try it. It was not only interesting but seemed straightforward. After trying it the people who had ate all felt it was very good and tasty and a couple wanted the recipe. Though i should point out that i had deviated a little from the original recipe with regards to ingredient ratios and also i had added about 1-1/2 cup of water (even though the recipe says its optional). Everything worked fine in the end and the people had enjoyed it. Thanks once again for the great recipe. Now am keyed up to try your other recipe, vis-a-vis the "Fish" recipe. Will let you know how that works out Thanks once again.
