Green peas : 1/2 cup
Ginger : A small piece(chopped)
Garlic cloves : 1 : 2 nos(chopped)
Onion : 1/2 of one(Sliced thinly)
Green chillies : 2 nos(split)
Tomato : 1 no(chopped)
Coriander powder : 1 tsp
Turmeric powder : 1/4 tsp
Pepper powder : 1/4 tsp
Thick coconut milk : 1 cup
Water : 1 1/2 cups
Coconut oil : 1 tbsp
Cardamom powder : A pinch
Cloves(Grambu) powder : 1 pinch
Curry leaves : A few
Salt : As reqd
Directions:
1. Soak peas overnight. 2. Place peas, ginger, garlic, onion, chillies, tomato, coriander powder, pepper powder, turmeric powder, water and salt in a pressure cooker. 3. Pressure cook upto 7 - 8 whistles or about 10 mins. 4. Allow it to cool for a while. 5. Open the cooker and place it on fire. 6. Add coconut milk, cardamom powder and cloves powder. 7. Add water, if needed. 8. Allow it to boil. 9. Add curry leaves and coconut oil. 10. :- Serve hot with appam, dosa, chappathi etc.
