    to make Naadan Meen Curry

  • 1)Heat 1/4 tsp of oil in a pan.
  • 2)Add chilly powder into it and heat it stirring continuously.
  • 3)Grind together grated coconut, small onions, turmeric powder, roasted chilly powder and fenugreek powder into a coarse form.
  • :- It shouldnt be a very fine paste.
  • 4)Heat up a Meen chatti or earthern pot.
  • 5)Add the cut fish, the coconut paste, tamarind water, salt and split green chillies.
  • 6)Boil it and cook, till the fish is tender.
  • 7)Switch off the fire and sprinkle rest of the oil and curry leaves.
  • :- Split pieces of drumstick adds to the taste.

    dear hari pls go thru the recipe n analize where the problem is. it might b with u only. dont blame anyone like that. to start with a new recipe u should try with sm small fish and that also in small qty. i`ve tried this recipe n it came out so well. keep it up lakshmi. u r nt miss leading others.

    procedure given is disastrous...pls be detailed and do not mislead others. i screwed up 4 pounds of king fish on this friggin` dish....to hell with ya!

    What about tamarind (puli)? I see it mentioned as an ingredient but is not mentioned in the procedure :(
