  • 1)For preparing tamarind sauce, first mix jaggery with tamarind juice.
  • 2)Bring it to boil.
  • 3)Add cumin powder, salt and chilly powder.
  • 4)Add the chopped dates and boil.
  • 5)When the gravy starts to thicken, remove from flame.
  • 6)Grind it in processor when cooled.
  • 7)North indian tamarind sauce is ready.
