  • 1)Cut each okra into two halves first and then four lengthwise shreds.
  • 2)Add gram flour, corn flour, red chilly powder, ginger-garlic paste, chat masala and salt to the okra shreds. Mix well adding very little water.
  • 3)Heat the oil in a deep bottomed frying pan and slowly drop the dough covered okra pieces one by one (like pakodas) and deep fry until they turn deep brown.
  • 4)Remove the fried okras into a plate.
  • 5)To the same oil add the green chillies(slightly split lengthwise) and the curry leaves and fry until crisp. Add this to the okra fry.
  • 6)This kind of okra fry serves better as a snack item than curry. Awesome for munching.
