  • 1)For preparing simple pappadam, finely grind split black gram into a flour.
  • 2)Add salt, soda-bicarb and asafoetida(you can add flavors like black pepper, garlic or chilly etc as your taste).
  • 3)Add water to make a hard dough and knead it for some time.
  • 4)Roll out around 100 round pancakes each weighing around 10 to 12 grams, with about 7 " diameter.
  • 5)Allow it to dry in the sun well. 6)Store in an air tight container.
  • 7)Simple pappadam is ready. It can be roasted or deep fried in oil when necessary.
