Rice : 1 cup
Water : 2 cups
(no need for extra
as veggies will leave some water)
Salt : 1 ½ tsp
Onion : 1 no
Cloves(Grambu) : 2 nos
Cinnamon(Karugapatta) : 1" piece
Bay leaf(Karuga ela) : 1 no (optional)
Small red chilly : 1 no
or
Green chilly : 1 no
Garlic paste : 1 tsp
Mint leaves(Pudhina) : 4 nos
Frozen vegetables or fresh vegies of our choice : 1/4 pack
Saffron : A pinch
Directions:
1. Heat 1 tbsp of ghee in a rice cooker. 2. Fry onion, cloves, cinnamon, bay leaf, chillies, mint and garlic until aromatic for about 2 mins. 3. Add the rice, water, veggies, saffron and salt. 4. Close the cooker and let it cook until it turns off to (Keep Warm÷.
