Onions : 6 nos(finely chopped)
Ginger : 1 inch piece(minced)
Garlic : 6 cloves(minced)
Green chillies : 5 nos(finely chopped)
Coriander leaves : 2 springs(finely chopped)
Turmeric powder : 1/2 tsp
Chilly powder : 1 tsp
Gram flour(Kadala podi) : 5 tbsp
All purpose flour(Maida) : 4 tbsp
Water : As reqd
Oil : As reqd for frying
Salt : As reqd
Directions:
1. For preparing ulli vada, mix thinly sliced onions, ginger, garlic, green chillies, coriander leaves, turmeric powder, chilly powder, gram flour, maida, salt and water to make a thick sticky batter. 2. Heat oil in a frying pan. 3. Scoop the mixture and fry it on low flame till it becomes golden brown and crispy. 4. Ulli vada is ready. Serve hot with ketchup.
