    to make Vegetable Korma Tamil style

  • 1)Grind the "Section A" (upto fenugreek) ingredients in a blender except the vegetables and keep aside.
  • 2)Saute the mustard seeds in the vegetable oil till it start cracking.
  • 3)Add the onion and fry till colour becomes light brown
  • 4)Add the Vegetables and stir till they become half cooked.
  • 5)Add the ground mixture of section A.
  • 6)Add salt and turmeric to Vegetable Korma.
  • 7)Boil Vegetable Korma for few mintues till vegetable are tender and fully cooked.
  • 8) Vegetable Korma is ready.
  • 9)Serve Vegetable Korma with steamed rice.
  • :- Enjoy the yummy Vegetable Korma.
  • :- Vegetable Korma is served in every tamilnadu hotel.

    Hello,I used this recipe and it came out fine. I am a born and brought up south Indian therefore can confidently say its a good recipe only if you know cooking! If some one does not know the basics, recipes are not for them. Most traditional south indian items will have "ledger" of ingredients. If one is lazy or not into cooking, then south Indian cooking is not them. Silpa, good job. Keep it coming. Thank you for your efforts. Only thing I changed was adding more green chillies to bring out the taste better.

    I wish to give some tips..fry some un-cooked rice and grated coconut in a tsp of oil and grind the same and add this to the cooked veg..this will give thickness and excellent smell..Thanks Shilpa.

    Hi Shilpa, I tried this recipe today and its good.. just the way we get in tamilnadu hotels..for the other users who had suggested coconut milk instead of ground coconut, I respect your taste. Shilpa has specifically mentioned this is tamilnadu style kuruma..Good work Shilpa,, thanks.
