Prawns With Drumstick

Ingredients

Raw mango - 1/2 piece
Green chilly - 3 nos
Red chilly powder - 1 1/2 tbsp
Mustard - 1 tsp
Small onion - 5 nos

DIRECTIONS

Step 1. Wash prawns, devain and mix with tamarind juice, red chilly powder, turmeric powder, green chilly slit, ginger (cut into pieces) and mango (cut into cubes)
:-You can reduce the tamarind if it is too sour since we are adding mango also
Step 2. Cut drumstick into 4 pieces each and boil in water until half cooked
:-Drumstick takes long time to cook than prawns.
Step 3. Add the prawn with masala and cook adding salt until prawns are tender.
Step 4. Grind coconut nicely with 2 small onions into a nice paste and add this to the cooked prawns
Step 5. Add enough water to give a semi loose gravy consistency.
Step 6. Add curry leaves to this and bring to boil for 1 or 2 minutes and remove from fire.
Step 7. Heat coconut oil in a kadai.
Step 8. Add mustard and finely cut small Onion.
Step 9. Fry until onion turns golden brown and add to curry.
Step 10. Mix well.
Step 11. :- This is a very good curry when taken cold with rice or chappathy.
