  • 1)Wash prawns, devain and mix with tamarind juice, red chilly powder, turmeric powder, green chilly slit, ginger (cut into pieces) and mango (cut into cubes) :-You can reduce the tamarind if it is too sour since we are adding mango also
  • 2)Cut drumstick into 4 pieces each and boil in water until half cooked :-Drumstick takes long time to cook than prawns.
  • 3)Add the prawn with masala and cook adding salt until prawns are tender.
  • 4)Grind coconut nicely with 2 small onions into a nice paste and add this to the cooked prawns
  • 5)Add enough water to give a semi loose gravy consistency.
  • 6)Add curry leaves to this and bring to boil for 1 or 2 minutes and remove from fire.
  • 7)Heat coconut oil in a kadai.
  • 8)Add mustard and finely cut small Onion.
  • 9)Fry until onion turns golden brown and add to curry.
  • 10)Mix well.
  • :- This is a very good curry when taken cold with rice or chappathy.
