Here is a tip for people who get raw smell even after frying besan. Ensure besan is fresh and is seived. If there are lumps you will still get the raw smell even after frying. I have tried even reducing ghee and sugar, it still comes out fine and perfect.

EXCELLENT recipe, dead easy to make.Just 2 suggestions: 1)if u roast the
flour , u can get rid of the raw taste. 2) re:burnt taste/vessel: adjust the microwaving time according to the power of ur microwave. It will come out fine if u do it properly.

hi all,
pls dont attempt this recipe unless you are an expert with microwave cooking.Unless the rava is very moist if you keep it in micro for 2 minutes you end up burning your micro dish which I did so try this at your risk.

hi!
I tried with 1:1:1 ratio as 2 cups of sugar would be too sweet for us. It came out really bad. i had to thow away the whole thing. i followed the exact instructions. The mixture was not like liquid(may be becos we r not adding water), had a raw smell, doesnt look/taste/smell like mysore pak.
but one thing i decided is that mysorepak is something which shouldnot be done in microwave(atleast the indian authentic mysorepak).

This recipe was just superb. I agree about the raw smell of the besan powder. What needs to be done to remove the raw smell? I love mysorepak and boy was i glad to make it by myself.
I followed the same recipe except my mysorepak did not come out solid. It was too soft and therefore was not able to cut them into pieces.
Besides that, the mysorepak was just superb.
Thanks a lot.

This is an excellent recipe. I think it would be a little better if we roast the gram flour first. It takes away the raw taste of the gramflour.
thanks again...

Hi,
I was looking for a recipe for Mysore paak and came across this one. As I saw it takes only five minues, I decided to give it a try though I was not very hopeful.I tried it with half amount of the ingredients. (Adjusted the time a bit as the amount to be cooked is less)
To my surprise it came out very well. I am really thankful to you for sharing such a wonderful...easy recipe.
Thanks and Regards,
