Ingredients for Coconut Pecan Cookies Recipe
All purpose flour(Maida)- 2 1/4cups
Butter - 1 cup
Baking powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
Sugar - 1 cup
Dessicated Coconut - 1 cup
Egg - 1
Vanilla essence - 1 1/2 tsp
Pecan halves - 1 cup
:- you can use any nuts

Preparation Method of Coconut Pecan Cookies Recipe
1)Preheat oven to 160 c. Grease a cookie tray.

2)Sift flour and baking powder into a medium bowl. Add coconut and required salt.

3)In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar till pale and creamy.

4)Add the egg yolks and beat until just combined.

5)Stir in the flour mixture with your fingers and mix into a soft dough. 
:- do not knead with palms.

6)Cover the cookie dough in a plastic wrap and chill for 30 minutes.

7)Make balls with 2 tsp of the mixture and flatten it between palms.

8)Press a pecan into the centre of each cookie.
:- Brush each cookie with beaten egg(optional).

9)Place them in a cookie tray, about 2 inches apart.

10)Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden. Set aside to cool completely.

11)When thoroughly cooled, store in a sealed container.
