Ingredients for Coconut Burfi - Easy to Make Recipe
Grated coconut - 1 cup
Sugar - 1 cup
Water - 1 cup
Ghee - 2 tsp
Cardamoms(Elakka)(crushed) - 6 nos
Cashewnuts(chopped) - 1/4 cup

Preparation Method of Coconut Burfi - Easy to Make Recipe
1)Heat the sugar and water on a low heat to make a thick syrup.
Remove any scum from the syrup.

2)Add the finely grated coconut and crushed cardamoms. Mix thoroughly.

3)Grease a plate with the ghee and set aside.

4)Turn off the heat while the mixture is still a thick pouring consistency.

5)Add the chopped cashewnuts. Mix thoroughly.

6)Pour the coconut mixture onto the greased plate and quickly spread with a spatula.

7)After a few minutes, cut into diamond-shaped pieces with a sharp knife.

:- Store in an airtight container.

This was a good Recipe but mine did not get hard enough to cut into pieces. After following the recipe, I had to bake it and then freeze it to get the consistency of a burfi type of sweet. It was very good though! my husband liked it!
