Ingredients for Sharkkara ada Recipe
Rice flour (Unboiled) - 2 cups
Shredded coconut - 1/2
Jaggery(Sharkkara) - 200 gm
Cardamom(Elakka) powder - 2 nos
Ghee - 2 tsp
Salt - As reqd
Water - 4 cups
Banana leaf without central stip

Preparation Method of Sharkkara ada Recipe
1)Roast the rice flour for a few minutes.

2)Mix it with 2 cups of warm water.

3)While mixing, add ghee, cardamom powder and salt to taste.

4)Make little large size balls and keep it aside.

5)Make ‘Sharkkarapavu’ by boiling 2 cups of water with jaggery.

6)When it turns to semi liquid, filter and removes the solid particles.

7)Add shredded coconut and mix well.

8)Flatten the rice balls on the banana leaf with hand.

9)Spread a spoonfull of coconut mix.

10)Fold the banana leaf with content and steam cook in an oven.

:- Serve when warm.

Find an alternative for places where banana leaves are not available... like using aluminium foil instead... recipe still comes out good.
