Medically red chillies are used as counter irritant in Lumbago, neuralgia and rheumatic disorderss. Capsicum has tonic and carminative action. The enzyme isolated from chilly heals cancer. Oleoresin caapsicum is used in pain balms and vaporubs.

Nutrient Value :

Excellent source of vitamin A. Has vitamin C and good source of minerals like copper, manganese, iron, magnesium and pottasium

Culinery and Other Values :

Used in curries, stir fries etc as a tadka. Also used in chutneys.
