Ingredients

Directions

Step 1

Soak rice in water for 1 hour.

Step 2

Drain and keep it aside.

Step 3

Heat ghee in a pressure cooker.

Step 4

Add onion, garlic and ginger and
fry well.

Step 5

Add all masala powders and saute well.

Step 6

Add green chillies and tomato and saute.

Step 7

Add all vegetables and fry well.

Step 8

Add rice and fry for 5 mins.

Step 9

Add 5 glasses of water and salt.

Step 10

Close the pressure cooker with the lid.

Step 11

When the steam starts to come straight from the nozzle, put the whistle on and switch off the gas.

Step 12

Open the lid after 10 mins.

Step 13

Add coriander leaves.

Step 14

Sprinkle cashews and raisins fried in ghee.

Step 15

Garnish with split hard boiled eggs.

Its such a good recipe!! I turned into Tuna biriyani by adding three small cans of tuna to it n my husband just loved it :))) I make it sooo often now. Thank you sooo much for the recipe.

I took more than 10 minutes to make this !!! but it was indeed very tasty ... i used sona massori rice instead of basmati..so the water was too much .. awesome though!

It was awesome!!!! One thing I did different was, I removed tomato and added fine diced bell pepper (capsicum) and fried along with other veggies....WOW ... what an aroma. This is an wonderful dish. Thanks!!!!

v easy recipe to make nd v tasty recipe to.... can also add slivered almonds,fried paneer etc.... tis recipe will make even a beginner cook to a master chef..... tnk u so much..... keep posting these type of simple dishes and help nt only the bachelors bt also the beginners

first time it came out excellent! thks! second time substituted rice with semolina.it is equally good,but care should be taken not to soak the semolina.

As reqd means add the mentioned ingredients according to your tastes. :) so which means that u can add garam masala and chilly powder and salt accdg to ur own taste and not accdg to others` measurements which may not necessarily suit ur tastebuds.
