Ingredients

  • Rice flour : 1 cup
    Water : 1 cup
    Potato : ½ cup
    Coconut : ½ cup
    Oil : 2 tsp
    Chilly powder : 1 tsp
    Salt : to taste

Heat a pan add 1 cup water and 2 tsp oil in it , when it gets boils off the flame and add rice flour in to it and stir well.

Then close it and keep it aside.

Then cook the potato using salt and chilly powder (for extra taste add sliced onion or shallot a little).

Then mix the rice flour well with hands and make it a smooth dough.

Then add the cooked potato on it.

Mix it well and make the potato is fully distributed with flour.

Then add coconut on it and mix well.

Make a smooth dough.

Make small balls from the dough.

Then using a chappathi maker or a roller make it a little fatty round shaped pathiri.

Then heat a frying pan add ghee or oil in it and when it gets hot place the pathiri on it.

When both sides get brawn or cooked ,take the pathiri out.

Transfer to the serving dish, it can be taken without curry also, and in good combination with chicken and beef curry.
