Step 1

Boil the potatoes and mash them.

Step 2

Mix together wheat flour, mashed potatoes, chilly powder, garam masala powder, chopped onions(optional), fennel seeds, salt and curd.

Step 3

Knead them together along with a little water to form a dough.

Step 4

Make big balls off the dough.

Step 5

Roll them out into thick chappathis.

Step 6

Heat the griddle.

Step 7

Cook it on both sides.

Step 8

When half done, spread 2 tsp of ghee on each side and fry on low fire, till little golden.

Step 9

:- Serve hot with sweet curd or pickle.

I tried this today.. But with some chages to it.. It would be better to use green chillies instead of chilli powder and Jeera instead of fennels.. Also 2-3 cloves of grinded garlic...

SUMITH MOHANHOW ABOUT ADDING SOME COOKED TOOR DAL IN TO IT, SO WE GET SOME CRUNCHY BITES IN EVERY BITES...! I GUESS THAT WOULD BE AWOSOME...

the recipe was real easy n simple to make; i added green chillies,karipatha n dhania leaves to give it the extra kick! thx.
