Step 1

For preparing anchovy/netholi fry, first soak the washed anchovies in some water along with 1/2 tbsp lemon juice for 5 minutes.

Step 2

Remove the anchovies from water and drain well.

Step 3

Prepare a marinade using the ingredients: red chilly powder, turmeric powder, pepper powder, lemon juice, fenugreek powder and required salt.

Step 4

Apply the marinade on the anchovies and refrigerate for 30 minutes

5)Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the marinated anchovies to a golden brown color or until crisp.
