Ingredients

Step 1

Heat oil in a deep fry pan.

Step 2

Add ginger-garlic paste to it.

Step 3

Add washed whole tomatoes (or cut them into 4 pieces) to it and fry for 2 mins.

Step 4

Keep covered on medium flame for 10 - 15 mins.

Step 5

After tomatoes are half cooked, mash them lightly with spoon.

Step 6

Cover it again with a lid for 5 mins.

Step 7

After tomatoes are finely cooked, add turmeric powder, coriander powder and chilly powder to it, mix and cover it for 5 mins.

Step 8

Add salt to it and let it be for 2 mins.

Step 9

Switch off the flame.

Step 10

:- Serve with rice, rotis or snacks like idli, dosa etc.

Thanks for the recipe. Tasty, easy and timesaving. No need of cleaning mixi. Usually i will prepare chutneys whenever i have enough time because we have to clean mixi ourself, but after looking at this recipe....wow it`s great, chutney without mixi...SUPERB.
