Step 1

Take sliced apples and 6 tsp sugar along with 1/2 cup of water and heat it over medium heat, till the apples are soft to make a pulp. Keep it aside.

Step 2

Take a buttered baking pan. Butter the breads on both sides and place on the pan in a layer.

Step 3

Pour the apple pulp over it as another layer.

Step 4

Make as many layers with bread and apple pulp, alternatively to the thickness desired.

Step 5

Mix together milk, 4 tsp of sugar and eggs well and pour over the top of the prepared layers and keep for 30 minutes.

Step 6

Mix the grated coconut and maida along with 3 tsp of sugar and sprinkle on top.

Step 7

Sprinkle chocalate chips on top.

Step 8

Bake it for 35-45 minutes in 350-400 degrees farenheits

Step 9

:- Serve cold.

I think you are right ,Kristy. I saw another recipe of bread pudding and baking temperature is 350 degree F. So i request the author to please correct it before anyone else make the same mistake.

I think the oven temperature given is in farenheits. And not celsius.Also you will have to select a proper temperature by trial and error as different ovens tends to have different heating temps.

Hi, I tried this after seeing all the good posts about it. But it turned to be a big flop.Let me explain it.. Till the fifth stage everything is fine. Then i sprinkled Maida,coconut and sugar on top and kept it for baking as told in the recipe line 6. But coconut and maida started burning and smoking after 15 mts of heat in the oven. The outer crust became hard crumbs of charcoal. Please tell me how you all baked this "100gm plain MAIDA powder" on top of bread?
