Boil the bananas in a vessel until they are smooth. Peel the outer husk.
Cut the bananas into small cubes.
Add oil to a deep bottomed pan and heat. Splutter mustard seeds and fry onion pieces. Fry until they turn into golden brown colour. Add ginger-garlic paste and fry further until the raw smell of the paste goes.
Add the coconut grated and fry till oil shows up.
Now add the banana pieces and turmeric powder. Mix well and fry.
Finally add the half split green chillies, red chilly powder and sufficient salt. Add about half cup water and mix well.
Allow to simmer in medium flame until the contents are blended with each other well and the oil shows up.
Serve hot with rice. Good with other staple foods also.
