Step 1

Cut the baby corns lengthwise into two and keep aside.

Step 2

Grind together the green chillies and ginger into a fine paste.

Step 3

Mix together the maida, cornflour, salt, the masala paste and the chopped coriander and form a smooth pakoda like batter by adding enough water.

Step 4

Dip each baby corn in the batter and fry in hot oil, till crisp and golden.

Step 5

:- Serve hot.

The recipe was simply great.Easy to make. Goes well as a starter. For the veg version, i substituted egg with a batter of besan, salt and chilli pd.

The baby corns are the smaller versions of the corns.These are readily available in every supermarket.
