Directions

Step 1

For preparing badam payasam, soak almonds in a cup of water over night.

Step 2

Soak the saffron in cold milk and keep aside for 1/2 an hour.

Step 3

Peel off the skin of almonds. Blend it with milk to make a fine paste.

Step 4

Cook the almond paste with 1 cup of sugar. Keep mixing till it cooks for 10 minutes on low flame.

Step 5

Add the remaining sugar and keep stirring the mixture.

Step 6

Pour in the remaining milk and allow it to boil for 15 minutes on low flame.

Step 7

Add the soaked saffron and mix well.

Step 8

Badam payasam is ready.
