Step 1

For preparing baked spinach, cut the stems of the spinach and chop the leaves and squeeze the moisture out.

Step 2

Melt butter in a dish and toss in the spinach leaves.

Step 3

Prepare a white sauce by melting butter in another pan. Add in maida, grated cheese, milk, salt and pepper, stirring all along for 2-3 minutes on low flame.

Step 4

Pour the white sauce over the spinach and stir well.

Step 5

Season with salt, pepper, red pepper, mace and nutmeg.

Step 6

Transfer the spinach mixture into a greased dish.

Step 7

Beat eggs and pour it evenly over the spinach.

Step 8

Put tomato wedges on the sides and bake it at 180 degrees celsius(350 degrees F) for 15 minutes in the oven.

Step 9

Baked spinach is ready.
