Ingredients

  • Tomatoes(cut in halves) – 3 nos
    Fresh basil – 1 tbsp
    Ricotta cheese – 150g
    Black pepper corns(crushed) – 1 tsp
    Turkish bread rounds(split) – 4 nos
    Hot chilli sauce – 1/2 tbsp
    Baby spinach leaves – 50g
    Olive oil – As reqd

Directions

Step 1

For preparing tomato with ricotta cheese, take a baking tray and place the tomatoes with cut side up. Bake at 200 C for 30 minutes until soft.

Step 2

Take a bowl and place basil, ricotta cheese, chilli sauce and crushed pepper corns. Mix together and combine.

Step 3

Take the split bread rounds and spread ricotta cheese over the bases.

Step 4

Top the bread round with roasted tomatoes and spinach leaves. Cover the top with a bread round and brush the top surface with olive oil. Repeat the same with remaining bread rounds.

Step 5

Take a preheated pan and cook both sides of the bread rounds in low heat for 2 minutes until golden in color.

Step 6

Yummy and nutritious baked tomato with ricotta cheese is ready. Enjoy.
