Ingredients

Step 1

Cook beef with little salt and pepper powder, until beef becomes tender.

Step 2

Mash it well with hands.

Step 3

Cook potatoes with little salt and mash them well too.

Step 4

Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a tawa.

Step 5

Saute onion, garlic, ginger and green chillies together in the given order.

Step 6

Add coriander powder, red chilly powder and turmeric powder.

Step 7

Saute well.

Step 8

Add garam masala powder, pepper powder, chopped coriander leaves and curry leaves and mix well.

Step 9

Finally, add mashed beef and potatoes into this and mix well.

Step 10

Beat eggs with little salt in a bowl.

Step 11

Make small thin oval shapped cutlets with beef potato mix.

Step 12

Coat them with thin layer of bread crumbs, dip in the beaten egg and shallow fry.

Step 13

:- Serve hot with tomato sauce.

We dont add tomatoes to cuttlets, thats for sure. And the potatoes is way too much

This is an old family recipe that i grew up with, and yes finely chopped tomato is added to the onion at the end and sauteed well together and my mom doesnt add a whole lot of corriander or red chilly powder but black pepper and cloves, cinnamon n anese. once u mix together the minced beef n potato(which shuld be one haf of the beef ) it shuld be nice n dry nuf to make a ball.egg wash and then coat in bread crumbs....enjoy

R u sure u dip in the bread crumbs first and then the egg?? isnt it the other way around. And tomatoes?? I doubt.

1 Kg Potato for 1/2 kg fish and also tomatoes? 2 spoons of coriander powder also doesnt sound great !!

just wondering...tomatoes??never heard of tomatoes in cutlets!!!!cutlets are considered dry finger foods- tomatoes make them more soggy!!!!

Tomato would break it up. I recommend not using tomato.

I have never heard of tomato in beef cutlets. The cutlet may taste better without tomato.
