For preparing beef in thick peanut-rice gravy, heat oil in a pressure cooker.
Saute in the onions and garlic.
Add in the beef, paprika, red chilly powder and turmeric powder. Fry over high flame.
Add the beef stock, potatoes, tamarind sauce, salt, sugar, bay leaf and thyme. Allow it to simmer and allow to cook till the potatoes are done.
Soak the rice in cold water and keep it aside for 30 minutes. Drain the water.
Mean while roast the peanuts and remove the skin.
Grind the soaked rice, peanuts and 1/2 of the remaining liquid which is left in the pressure cooker. Blend it to a smooth paste.
Pour this paste into the pressure cooker and allow it to simmer till it becomes thick.
Garnish with white wine vinegar and pepper powder. Mix it and remove it from the flame.
Beef in thick peanut-rice gravy is ready.
