Directions

Step 1

Peel the ridge gourd (beerakayalu) and cut into small pieces.

Step 2

Heat 1 tbsp oil oil in a pan and add the ribbed gourd pieces.

Step 3

Cover and cook till soft.

Step 4

Grind ginger piece or grate.

Step 5

Add salt, red chilly powder, ginger & sugar.

Step 6

Add 1 tbsp oil so the whole curry looks glossy and does not stick to the sides of the pan.

Step 7

:- Beerakaya (Ridge Gourd) Allam Kaaram Kura is ready!!

Step 8

:- As simple as it is. Adjust the ingredients to your taste. Goes very well with hot rice.
