Step 1

Heat oil in a pan.

Step 2

Add the mustard seeds. Once they splutter, add the urad dhal and saute for a few seconds.

Step 3

Now add the onions, green chilies and curry leaves. Saute till onions change color.

Step 4

Add the tomatoes and cook covered on low heat till they turn pulpy.

Step 5

Now add turmeric powder, salt and coriander leaves. Saute till raw smell of turmeric disappears.

Step 6

Now add the chopped bread pieces and mix thoroughly.

Step 7

Fry till the bread slices turn brown here and there.

Step 8

Serve hot.

Step 9
