Step 1

For preparing brinjal and green peas gravy, roast the brinjals directly over the flame on all sides.

Step 2

Allow it to cool completely and mash it. Keep it aside.

Step 3

Heat oil in a vessel. Add in onion and green chillies. Fry it well.

Step 4

Then add in the tomato, turmeric powder, garam masala, pepper and salt. Fry well till the oil separates.

Step 5

Put in green peas and mix well. Allow it to cook with a little water.

Step 6

Once the green peas are cooked add in the mashed brinjals. Cook for another 5 minutes on low flame.

Step 7

Then put in coriander leaves and mix it. Switch off the flame.

Step 8

Heat oil in another vessel. Splutter mustard seeds and curry leaves. Pour into the brinjal gravy.

Step 9

Brinjal and green peas gravy is ready. Serve hot with chapati.
