Directions

Step 1

Line a greased baking tray with butter paper.

Step 2

Sieve the flour and baking powder together.

Step 3

Melt the butter and mix in the cocoa.

Step 4

Let it cool and mix in the essence.

Step 5

Break the eggs into a bowl, whisk and sugar well.

Step 6

Mix in the cocoa mixture which should be cool by now.

Step 7

Gently, fold in the flour and walnuts.

Step 8

Pour into the prepared tray and bake in an oven till cooked and golden brown.

Step 9

Cook over a temperature of 240C or 450F for 10 or 15 minutes.

Step 10

When cold, remove from tray and cut into squares.

Well, i hv one suggession. Instead of 240C oven heat, use 180C for 25 - 35 minutes. When we cook our foods daily, do we cook them in high flame?? no. we either cook them on medium or low. The same theory is applicable to oven also. I always tried my hand in cakes (my son lieks my cakes), and i made it sure that i use a low heat strategy. Thanks to Paul my hubby, who teaches me the simple tips! (though he is messy in kitchen).

You guys dont know much but tasty brownies are supposed to be moist!!!

it tasted better the 2nd day..it became crispier next day...im lukily i kno bit about bakin..coz 15 mins is in NO WAY enough..it took me about 40mins n stil was a bit moist inside...i think better to bake for about 45-50mins

Ok its good but its too moist inside, and i have poured some ganache on the brownies and some roasted chopped cashew nuts on the top of the chocolate ganache.
